Hi, I am Mohsin Ilyas, as a Retail Professional, believes that increasing Digitalization of Retail Sector where customers buy Products by simply click and get on their doorstep. Retailers are very passionate and strategic to grow online where they can sell their products globally.

It is a fact that Digitalization is very important now-a-days but when it comes to my knowledge when some Corporate Leaders said that physical appearance of retail stores will be affected and they justify their statement by some Digital benefits.

1-Increasing trend of online shopping

2-Easily targeting and retargeting Customer based on geographically and demographically.

3-Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization.

3-Low cost High sales Digital Marketing

4-Strenght of online users globally.

5-Analytics based Intelligence softwares for growth.

6-Online shopping saves time and physical stress.

7-Receive product at doorstep.

8-High graphical catalogues with product info.

But I can give you examples that no doubt digitalization has a great importance now and onwards too but physical appearance has its own value.
An example why people ignore advantages of online support.

Cinema as an example for People behavior.

In this digital world, we can find number of movies on Youtube, Netflix and other streaming platforms but we see people crowd in cinemas even for those movies which are easily available on internet in HD Preview. 


The trend of Cinemas is increasing and why not? It is fact that people need excitement, refreshment and experiences that they can only get to go outside in real world. I saw most people go cinemas to spend their time, to refresh and excite even in crowd where they are stuck but still they go and go again because to enjoy ,meet and engage with social world and even to observe trends and then acquire them.

So Retail is like this, physically growth of retail stores is very necessary. In a clothing store, Customers try number of shirts to select a best fit and often match related products. Products can be exchanged easily and no wait for product as in online for 2-3 days. Apparels are tried to feel stuff and quality and often good compliments by Sales Advisors or Customer Representatives can add more value to customers.
